WHERE TO STAY, EAT & PLAY IN HOUSTON, TEXAS

If the only thing you know about Houston is that it's Beyonce's hometown then we have a lot to catch you up on!

I’m sharing just a few of my recommendations for how you can spend a day in Houston!
Stay: @postoakuptown is the epitome of posh. The high-rise claims an entire city block in the luxe Uptown area; a three-story Swarovski crystal chandelier hangs in the dramatic atrium, while an on-site auto showroom displays Bugattis, Bentleys, and Rolls-Royces. You know, just in case you need to cruise in style! The hotel’s extensive art collection includes works by Frank Stella and vintage photographs displayed in the velvety H Bar (home to a $1600 sandwich!). Eat: There's almost too many restaurants to choose from but a few favorites are: @onefifthhouston for southern comfort food, @bltomorrow for a variety of yumminess, @irmasoriginal for Mexican food, @malasichuanbistro for Sichuan inspired flavors, and @killensstq for a little bit of everything. Viet-Cajun crawfish cannot be missed when visiting Houston! Try @crawfishcafe, @crawfishandnoodles, or @cajunkitchenhouston for everything from Lemon Pepper to Thai Basil flavors.

Play: The @jamesturell Twilight Epiphany Skyspace on the campus of @riceuniversity is a must visit. It’s hard to explain the Twilight Epiphany without seeing it but think of at as the coolest light show you’ll ever see. Go for the sunset sequence then stroll to Hermann Park and have a picnic dinner delivered by @picnicsinthecity. On your way home stop at @toutsuitehtx for homemade macarons.
